Night

A soothing voice awakened me

From a dream filled sleep
I heard a rustling in the trees
A midnight bid to keep
The moon sure looked surprised
As he peeked around a cloud
Cool air caressed my neck
A mist rose from the ground

There’s a certain beauty found
In the moonlit dark and greys
Without the shining sun
There’s nothing to betray
I’ve been this way before
We’ve a long eventful past
A deep Infatuation
As the thrilling shadow’s cast.
She shares in all my dreams
It’s what the night does best
My heart gives her ideas
While my mind remains at rest

As the world lays down in slumber
My senses are renewed
Goodnight, my dear friend
Till day obstructs the view.
